Playstation Plus Content for April 2014
Another month, another round of Playstation Plus goodies. What does April 2014 have in store?
According to the European Playstation Blog, European PS+ subscribers (which includes us here in Australia) will be getting the following goodies as of April 2nd.
Mercenary Kings (PS4)
A 2D. side scrolling action shooter, Mercenary Kings sees players playing solo or co-op to free a top secret island laboratory from evil-doers.
Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 (PS3)
It’s a soccer game. And quite a pretty one. But your interest in this will be determined by whether or not you like soccer. Or to put it another way, you’ll really only like this if you’re already mentally planning to write me an email telling me soccer is actually called football and it’s the biggest sport in the world (like my Dad would be doing).
Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time (PS3 & Playstation Vita)
The story goes that a time-travelling villain is scouring the past to pinch the Cooper clan’s biggest burgling secrets. Can Sly thwart the cunning crook before his family’s legacy is lost forever? With your help… maybe?
Hotline Miami (PS3 & Playstation Vita)
In Hotline Miami, you assume the role of a mysterious antihero on a murderous rampage against the shady underworld at the behest of voices on your answering machine. Rely on your wits to choreograph your way through seemingly impossible situations as you constantly find yourself outnumbered by vicious enemies. I didn’t think much of this when I played it via Steam, but will do a detailed Vita review soon.
This adrenaline fuelled experience allows you to step into the shoes of a rider in career mode challenging you to rise from your Moto 3 wildcard entry to take on the very best in the MotoGP championship covering every racer of the season. If that isn’t enough then take on your friends in multiplayer.
If you’re a US based PS+ subscriber, your April line up is a little different (don’t worry tough; you’re still getting Mercenary Kings for the PS4). I suggest you check out the US Playstation Blog here.
So, what do you think? Are you happy with the April selection? Or do you think it’s about time Sony started offering up some of those AAA PS4 titles they promised us? Sound off in the comments below.
